Tom is on a mission to develop stronger leaders, better teams, and healthier organizations. As a Leadership Challenge Certified Master, Tom has developed a reputation for being an expert facilitator, coach, and mentor. Over the past two years, he has facilitated more than 25 Leadership Challenge Workshops for over 750 leaders. As an LPI Certified Coach, he has also coached over 300 leaders around the world upon completion of the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) 360-degree assessment.
Before founding iLead Consulting & Training, Tom was Vice President of HR and Administration for ARCO China where he supervised 25 colleagues and managed a budget of $8 million. He has been on assignment in Indonesia, London, Shanghai, Malaysia, and Dubai.
One of Tom’s true professional joys is coaching and mentoring others who wish to grow their Leadership Challenge coaching and facilitation skills. With a track record of helping more than a dozen talent professionals achieve Certified Facilitator or Certified Master status, he is committed to growing the professional community started by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner. In 2015, Tom was recognized with the “Star Player” award by for his contribution to the Leadership Challenge community and for his excellence in teaching and mentoring others.
Tom just recently completed a coaching project for the Governor of the State of Colorado and his entire cabinet. He is called upon to assist organizations with strategic planning, team development, and leadership development strategy. He has also spoken at a number of meetings and conferences for groups ranging from 40 to 400.
Tom has an MBA from Duke University and an undergraduate degree in Communications from William & Mary. He has served on a number of boards including YMCA, American Red Cross, Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney, Serenity High School, Embrace Texas which supports waiting children, foster families and orphans, and Stonebridge United Methodist Church.
Tom is married and has two children. He and his family enjoy the game of golf. Tom’s claim to golfing fame is that he has scored two holes in one!
